An Immigration Story with Alena Orwin Rogel Part 1
Show Notes

In this episode of The Brave Podcast, we meet Alena Orwin-Rogel.  I’ve known Alena since elementary school. Through social media, we’ve been able to keep in touch and encourage each other as sisters in Christ. In 2018, Alena and her family were torn apart when her husband, Omar was deported to Mexico. Alena shares her story as she walks through the immgration process and living abroad in Mexico. During her trial, she shares how it has affected her faith as well as discussing some new plans that God has for her and her family.

I was nervous to share this story as immigration is a hot topic in our country and the views on it can be very polarized. But, when God tells you to do something, you must obey. I hope you will be encouraged listening to Alena’s story; her bravery amazes me and it was such an honor that she allowed me to speak to her about her story.

This interview is a three part series and will air over the next three weeks.

Heads up, Alena is the mom to three beautiful children and you’ll be able to hear them playing in the background. It sounds like they were having a great time!
